Erick ‘N’, 33 years old and known by the alias ‘La Besucona’, was arrested by officers from the Mexico City Citizen Security Secretariat for his alleged participation in criminal activities. According to the SSC, the subject is alleged to have participated in three homicide events that occurred in the Iztapalapa borough in 2024 and one more in December 2025, stemming from disputes over the sale of narcotics with members of the criminal cell known as Los Malportados. Last October, five members of the Los Malportados criminal group were arrested for their participation in the kidnapping of nine mariachis who were abandoned in Tlalpan. Erick ‘N’ is considered the leader of the Los Besucones criminal group, whose members are engaged in drug dealing, robbery, and homicide, with operations in the Iztapalapa borough. Capital Security Secretariat officers arrested Erick ‘N’ after a chase; he was allegedly in possession of doses of possible narcotics and live cartridges, as well as the vehicle he was traveling in. According to the police report, officers were conducting patrol duties on the Tlalpan highway, in the Country Club colony area, when they detected a gray vehicle with no license plates. The driver was smoking a cigarette, possibly with a marijuana smell, which he threw out the window when he became aware of the police presence. The officers instructed the subject to stop, but Erick ‘N’ suddenly accelerated to try to escape and a chase began that ended when the person was intercepted on the Tlalpan highway, at the intersection with Mártires Irlandeses street, located in the same colony. The officers performed a preventive search on Erick ‘N’, alias ‘La Besucona’, in accordance with police action protocols, the SSC reported, and added that 23 sealed bags with a transparent, crystal-like substance and 10 live cartridges were found on him.
